Charles C. Yen, Architect


Charles C. Yen received his Master of Architecture degree from Texas A & M University, and NCARB National Architect Certificate in the U. S. In the two decades since his return, Mr. Yen has a rich variety of project experience in design and planning which includes housing, office building, health facility, shopping mall, manufacturing facility, sport stadium, rapid transit system, airport facility and urban renewal projects, etc. Mr. Yen taught at the Architecture Department of Tamkang University for eight years. He recently collaborates with the British Master Richard Roger on the landmark Kaohsiung Rapid Transit R9 Central Park Station Project.

Mr. Yen engages each project with both the rational analytical approach and the sensitive handling of design issues, indicate a life long pursuit of innovation and individuality for each project, always seeking the harmony between man and nature. With the global trend of ecological and environmental consideration, Mr. Yen is an ardent practitioner of the philosophy, his recent Central Taiwan Scientific Industry Campus Administration Building Project merited nine categories Green Building Medals, was granted a Diamond Class Green Building Status, only the seventh building nationally to achieve this honor.
